April Member Newsletter: Supporting Local, Giving Back
At Otter Co-op, supporting our local communities isn't just something we say—it’s something we do every day. One of our core values is to prioritize local: from the products we proudly stock on our shelves to the community groups we support through donations, services, and volunteerism. Despite the challenging economic conditions that both our business and members continue to face, we remain steadfast in that commitment.
Over the past year, we’ve donated over $400,000 in cash, in-kind products, services, and volunteer hours to local causes. These include non-profits, charities, schools, youth sports teams, and local farms that help our community thrive.
Our Hunger Bag program alone contributed more than $25,000 in food items to the Aldergrove and Abbotsford Food Banks in 2024—on top of the numerous food drives hosted at our locations throughout the year.
And if you know any students heading to post-secondary this fall, remind them that the Otter Co-op Student Scholarship Program is now accepting applications. We’re offering 10 scholarships of $1,000 each—open for applications until April 30th.
Check out our full April Member Newsletter for all the details, updates, and community highlights. We look back on 2024 across all of our divisions, and we look at what's to come in 2025 at Otter Co-op. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community—one act of support at a time.
