Heart-shaped Sugar Cookies

Why settle for store-bought when you can bake a little love into every bite? These cookies are as fun to make as they are to eat!

Directions

Whip up a batch of your favourite sugar cookies (check out our favourite here

Take a third of the dough and dye it red. Chill both doughs.

Once chilled, roll out the coloured dough reasonably thick and cut out mini heart shapes using a small cookie cutter. Stack them together without ruining their shape – it’s easier to make two or three shorter stacks instead of one long one – and freeze for about an hour.

Using the chilled plain dough, carefully cover the frozen stack of hearts and shape it into a cylinder. It’s most straightforward to work with small amounts of dough. Try rolling long, skinny snakes to fill the crease at the top and evenly apply the dough around the heart. Chill the dough again.

To make the cookies even more impressive, coat the outside with an egg wash and roll the log in your favourite sprinkles or coloured sugar. The dough can then be sliced and baked.

Heart-shaped Pizza

Pizza night just got a Valentine’s Day makeover! Shaping your pizza into a heart makes dinner feel extra unique and delicious.

Ingredients

  • Pre-made dough or Co-op Gold Cauliflower Pizza Crust
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Co-op Gold Shredded Pizza Mozzarella
  • Toppings of Your Choice

Directions

If using pre-made dough, shape it into a heart before adding your toppings. If you’re using a pre-made cauliflower crust, carefully cut it into a heart shape.

Spread a layer of marinara sauce evenly over the crust. Sprinkle generously with cheese and add your favourite toppings—pepperoni, veggies, or whatever your heart desires!

Bake according to the instructions for your dough or crust. Serve and enjoy your festive heart-shaped pizza!
