This week, we're excited to introduce you to:
Vafa Alizadeh, AVP, Ag Solutions
Ag. Eng., B.Sc., MMBA, P. Ag.
Vafa is a distinguished figure in the poultry industry, boasting over 25 years of extensive experience. Holding an Agricultural Engineering degree from UOT and a B.Sc. in Animal Science specializing in Poultry Nutrition, he furthered his education with an MMBA from UBC's Sauder School of Business. Vafa is recognized as a professional Agrologist.
His career began managing both conventional and organic poultry farms, developing profound expertise in raising layers, breeders, and broilers. With a decade-long tenure leading poultry production operations, Vafa transitioned to Otter Co-op, where he currently serves as AVP of Ag Solutions. In this role, he oversees the Ag and Commercial Energy divisions while maintaining his dedication to advancing poultry nutrition.
Active in industry leadership, Vafa chairs the credential committee at BCIA and serves on the board of the Animal Nutrition Association in B.C. He is a valued member of the Animal Science Association of North America and contributes as a member of the Poultry Science Board.
Passionate about sharing his knowledge, Vafa eagerly mentors farmers and students alike, particularly in the specialized field of poultry nutrition.
