Whether you're planning a family-friendly night or diving into classic horror films, we’ve got your snack cravings covered. We’ve curated a movie and snack line-up but, you can pair these tasty treats with any of your favorite flicks, and let the fun begin! The best part is that you can find everything you’ll need to make these delicious treats at your local Otter Co-op food store.

Hocus Pocus and Monster Mash Trail Mix

Get ready for the Sanderson sisters! Hocus Pocus is a witchy Halloween classic, full of spells, laughter, and a little mischief. To keep up with these spirited witches, you’ll need a snack that’s just as fun and spooky! We suggest a Monster Mash Trail Mix. It’s easy to make and perfect for sharing!

Ingredients:

  • Pretzels
  • Candy corn
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate-covered nuts
  • Some of your favorite colorful candies

Instructions:

  • Toss everything together in a big bowl, and voila! You’ve got a sweet and salty snack that’s just as exciting as a night in Salem.


Caspar and Ghost Pretzels

For something a little friendlier, Casper is the ultimate ghostly pick. Match Casper’s lighthearted vibe with spooktacular Ghost Pretzels!

Ingredients:

  • Pretzels
  • Melted white chocolate
  • Mini candies (for eyes)

Instructions:

  • Dip each pretzel in the melted white chocolate or yogurt, add two candy “eyes,” and let them dry. These friendly little ghosts will be a fun and delicious treat for the whole family!


The Nightmare Before Christmas and Pumpkin Spiced Popcorn

The Nightmare Before Christmas is it a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie? We think it's the best of both worlds!  Cozy up with some Pumpkin Spiced Popcorn while you watch this spooky classic. 

Ingredients:

  • Popcorn
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Brown sugar

Instructions:

  • Melt the butter, then add the cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar to create a sweet, spiced coating.
  • Drizzle the mixture over your popcorn and toss until evenly coated for a treat that captures the cozy warmth of fall. It’s perfect for Jack Skellington’s whimsical world!


Beetlejuice and Candy Corn Bark

Prepare to get a little weird with Beetlejuice! This quirky, supernatural comedy deserves a snack with some personality, so we recommend pairing it with Candy Corn Bark.

Ingredients:

  • White chocolate
  • Candy corn
  • Pretzels
  • Crushed cookies (we reccomend our Co-op Gold chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies).

Instructions:

  • Melt the white chocolate and spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle the candy corn, pretzels, and cookie crumbles over the top and let it set.
  • Once cooled, break it into chunks and enjoy!


Hotel Transylvania and Vampire Blood Punch

When it comes to family-friendly frights, Hotel Transylvania is a hilarious crowd-pleaser. So, what better drink to serve than Vampire Blood Punch?

Ingredients:

  • Cranberry juice
  • Lemon-lime soda (we recommend the Co-op Gold soda)
  • Gummy worms.

Instructions:

  • Mix the cranberry juice and soda in a pitcher
  • Add in some gummy worms for the perfect creepy garnish
